Prof Limin Zhang Receives Natural Science Award (First Class)

Prof. Limin Zhang has received a Natural Science Award (First Class) 2019 from the Ministry of Education of China. Prof. Zhang’s research team, made up 100% of HKUST people, includes five PhD graduates (Lulu Zhang, Xu Li, Shuai Zhang, Hongfen Zhao and Hong Zhu) and one post-doctoral fellow (Qun Chen). The team looks into the mechanisms of rain-induced failure of colluvium soil slopes, and develops risk mitigation measures for such slopes.
