We have organised holistic training which include Internship, practical training and safety training for students throughout their 4 years of study. Through our comprehensive program, students will gain invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to the latest industry practices.

Our robust internship program offers students the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings These immersive internships give students a competitive edge, allowing them to develop essential technical and professional skills under the guidance of experienced industry mentors. Students will have opportunity to take up internships at renowned companies such as AECOM, Atkins and Ove Arup.

In addition to the internship program, we also provide comprehensive industrial training starting in the second year. This foundational training covers crucial skills like surveying, computer-aided design (CAD), and building information modeling (BIM), ensuring our students are well-equipped to tackle the latest technological advancements in the field.

To further bridge the gap between academia and industry, we regularly invite distinguished civil engineering practitioners to deliver insightful technical seminars. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, from ethical and professional responsibilities to the latest developments in local and international megaprojects, providing our students with a deep understanding of the dynamic civil engineering landscape.

Prospects of Civil Engineering Graduates

Graduates of our BEng in Civil Engineering and BEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering programs enjoy excellent career prospects in a wide range of areas. These include government departments, engineering consulting firms, construction companies, and international engineering organizations. For students in the Civil and Environmental Engineering program, there are also opportunities to work at the Environmental Protection Department.

A civil engineering education also provides a strong foundation for middle to top-level management roles, as well as sales and technical representative positions in a diverse array of businesses.
