CIVL PhD and UG Students Win Gold Award in Inter-Institutional Competition on Facility Management

A team of students from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HKUST have won the Gold Award in the 2019 IFMA Inter-Institutional Competition for Best Facility Management Project Presentation.

The team comprised three PhD students—Miss Weiwei Chen, Miss Helen Kwok and Mr. Keyu Chen—and two UG students—Miss Sum Chau Chan and Miss Sampriti Dwivedy, all of whom supervised by Prof. Jack Cheng. They struck gold with their project “Smart Facility Management for Smart Campus”.

The competition, organized by the International Facility Management Association (Hong Kong Chapter), was held on 30 March 2019. The award was presented on 7 May during the Integrate 2019 Facility Management Conference, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
