CIVL PhD Student Commended at National Meteorological Forum

Miss Liutao Chen, PhD candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and member of the Urban Research Group supervised by Prof. Jiachuan Yang, was among the winners of “best paper awards” at the 9th National Urban Meteorological Academic Forum (第九届全国城市气象学术论坛)

hosted by the Chinese Meteorological Society (中国气象学会) earlier in May this year in Hebei province, China.

Liutao’s paper, entitled “Quantifying the Benefits of Building-integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Windows in Urban Environment under Climate Change: A comparative Study on Three Chinese Cities” (建筑一体化光伏窗在气候变化下的效益分析: 中国三个城市的比较研究),was well-received and was especially commended for its excellence.

We congratulate Liutao on the well-deserved award —  a testament to her hard work and dedication to research — and we look forward to her continued endeavours to shape the future of civil and environmental engineering.
