CIVL Student Part of Award-winning Team at Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition
CIVL student Weifan Xu was part of a team that won a Third Place Award at the 9th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (香港大學生創新及創業大賽). The team was advised by Prof. Hui SU of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and their award-winning project was “SpaceGPT: ChatGPT Empowered Satellite Remote Sensing Data Service Platform”, which competed in the “entrepreneurship proposal” category.
Prof. Su is proud of the team’s achievement and each member’s dedication to developing such cutting-edge technology. She attributes the award to the team members’ talent, creativity and hard work, and hopes that the achievement will inspire many others to pursue their own innovative ideas.
The Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is co-organized by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, with support from the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR government. This year’s competition took place in May, with final judging, public exhibition and award ceremony held at the beginning of June.
Congratulations to Weifan and the rest of the team!
