Prof Jidong Zhao Appointed New Editor For Computers and Geotechnics

Prof. Jidong Zhao, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been appointed new Editor for Computers and Geotechnics, published by Elsevier, a Q1-ranked journal in geotechnical engineering with 35 years of history. Prof. Zhao will join three other Co-Editors to manage the journal, beginning in 2020.
 
Computers and Geotechnics is a premier platform for publishing top-tier research on numerical methods in geotechnics. A highly specialized technical journal, it has attracted an average of 1200+ annual submissions with an acceptance rate of 20-25% over the past several years. Among its seven editors in history, two were elected Fellows of the Royal Society (FRS) and three Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng). Two editors have given Rankine Lectures, arguably the most prestigious lecture in soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering, organized by the British Geotechnical Association.
