Stellerus Technology Limited Wins Prestigious Awards at HKUST-SINO One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Stellerus Technology Limited, co-founded by Prof. Hui SU, Chair Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Global STEM Professor at HKUST, Prof. Limin Zhang, Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HKUST, and our CIVL PhD student Mr. Jeffrey Weifan Xu, has achieved remarkable success at the HKUST-SINO One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2025. The team won the top award — Platinum Award and the Sustainability Impact Award — at the HKUST-SINO One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2025, held on 30 September, 2025.

The competition, celebrating its 15th anniversary, attracted 348 teams from around the world, showcasing innovative ideas aimed at developing sustainable solutions. Stellerus Technology Limited was recognized for its pioneering project, the Feilian Constellation, which harnesses satellite remote sensing and artificial intelligence to enhance advanced meteorological technology.

The award presentation ceremony featured notable attendees, including Mr. David Ng, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Sino Group, and Prof. Nancy Ip, President of HKUST. During the event, finalist teams presented their groundbreaking projects to a distinguished audience of industry partners, investors, and academic leaders.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Xu for representing Stellerus Technology Limited and delivering an outstanding pitch, and celebrate not only this significant achievement but also a bright future ahead for our entrepreneurs.
