Prof. Sisi Jian and Research Team Win CTS 2023 Best Paper Award

We celebrate Jiaqi Guo, Jiancheng Long, W.Y. Szeto, Weimin Tan, all members of Prof. Sisi Jian’s research team and of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, for receiving the Best Paper Award from the 14th International Workshop on Computational Transportation Science (CTS 2023). The workshop was hosted between August 11 and 13 by Tongji University in Shanghai, China.

Entitled “A One-way Carsharing System with Ridesharing Options”, the team’s paper was singled out from a competitive pool of candidates, and was commended as an outstanding contribution to computational transportation science. As the title suggests, the team’s research focuses on integrating one-way carsharing systems with ridesharing options, and developing novel solutions that can enhance efficiency, sustainability, and usability in urban transport. The award is a testament to Prof. Jian and her team’s expertise in addressing the challenges facing today’s urban transportation.

The CTS workshop is a prominent academic conference which provides a platform for experts and scholars from various disciplines to exchange ideas, collaborate and explore the latest trends and research findings in the field of computational transportation science. The 2023 CTS workshop focused on the modern-day urban transport challenges, covering topics from new transportation modes, integrated systems and the environment to big data analysis, with a view to driving innovation and sustainable development through addressing current urban transportation issues.
