CIVL Faculty Receive Prominent NSFC Excellent Young Scientists and Young Scientists Funds

We are delighted and proud to announce that multiple faculty members of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering have secured funding from the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (优秀青年科学基金) and Young Scientists Fund (青年科学基金) 2023, granted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (国家自然科学基金委员会). The goal of the Young Scientists Fund is to foster and strengthen young scholars’ ability as well as independence and creativity in conducting research, while the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, granted to those who have already achieved outstanding results in basic research, aims to not only support their work but also further induce innovation and cultivate expertise in them.

The CIVL faculty members who have been awarded funding are: for the Excellent Young Scientists Fund, Dr. YANG Jiachuan and Dr. WANG Zhe; and for the Young Scientists Fund, Dr. PAN Yuxin, Dr. QIU Jishen, Dr. WANG Zhe, and Dr. ZHANG Jize.
