Biography

Ir Aaron BOK is a Registered Professional Engineer in Civil Discipline and a Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and Hong Kong Institution of Highways and Transportation. Since graduation from the University of Hong Kong in 1983, he has served different departments and bureau in the Government including Water Supplies Department, Transport Department (TD), Highways Department (HyD), Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and Development Bureau over his 40 years’ services. Before retirement in 2021, he was the Head of Civil Engineering Office of CEDD. He then returned to CEDD to serve the Health Projects Unit as Project Team Leader in 2022 until 2024.

Ir BOK has wide experience on traffic and transport planning, new town development, policy formulation, major reclamations and planning, design and construction of major infrastructures projects including mega size buildings. He has also spearheaded and undertaken an unprecedented Facility Management and Tenancy Management duty in HyD under the HK-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge HK Boundary Crossing Facility project in order to provide an iconic, efficient, enjoyable and user friendly facility for the bridge passengers. He was also the Master mind behind the construction of quarantine units that help combat COVID-19 in 2020 under an unprecedented fast track programme.
