Prof Joseph Lee Awarded First Prize of Construction Industry Council Innovation Award

Prof Joseph Lee and his team’s project “Supercritical vortex intakes for urban stormwater management” was recently recognized by the 2017 Hong Kong Construction Industry Council (CIC) Innovation Award, winning First Prize in the construction sustainability category. The project was submitted jointly with the Hong Kong Drainage Services Department and Black and Veatch (Hong Kong) Ltd. Out of over 120 entries, one local grand prize and three first prizes (one in each of the categories of construction productivity, safety, and sustainability) were selected. The award presentation ceremony was held at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong on December 15, 2017.
