Prof J S Kuang will receive ICE Telford Premium Award

The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) UK announced that the prestigious Telford Premium 2014, presented for the best paper on engineering and computational mechanics in 2013, has been awarded to Prof J S Kuang and Dr Y P Yuen. The Telford Premium will be presented by the President of ICE at the Award ceremony to be held at ICE headquarters in London on 17 October 2014. 

Prof Kuang’s outstanding research on earthquake-resistant concrete structures has also earned him the prestigious T K Hsieh Award by ICE in 2006 and the HKIE Transactions Prize by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in 2007.
