Late Prof. Wilson Tang Inducted into ASCE OTC Hall of Fame 2013

Since its inception 1969, more than 10,000 papers have been published in Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). A few of these papers stand out, having provided the industry with innovation, direction and lasting impact on the design, construction or installation of the offshore infrastructure. The ASCE OTC Hall of Fame honours the authors of extraordinary papers presented in early years of OTC, which now form the core of current practice worldwide. Prof. Wilson Tang’s paper “Performance reliability of offshore piles”, presented in 1990, will be recognized, together with five other outstanding papers, at the Hall of Fame Gala to be held on 7 May 2013 in Houston, Texas. 

In 2002 , Professor Tang was inducted into the US Offshore Energy Center's Hall of Fame as a Technology Pioneer for his contribution in the development of Reliability-Based Design of Marine Structures.
