Civil Engineering Research Students Won Awards in International Earthquake Engineering Competition 2016

The HKUST civil engineering postgraduate team won the Best Structural Engineering Design Award, the Best Design Idea of Exhibits Award and the Best Presentation Award of the Postgraduate Division (研究生組) in the Introducing and Demonstrating Earthquake Engineering Research in Schools (IDEERS) competition (抗震盃–地震工程模型國際競賽), a famous international earthquake engineering competition for students. IDDERS was held at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering, Taipei, during 10-11 September 2016, and was hosted by the National Applied Research Laboratories (國家實驗研究院), Taiwan, and The British Council.

The HKUST postgraduate team members include Roy Yuchen Huang (team leader), Daisy Xueying Wang, Daniel Jie Yao and Keon Chaobo Zhang, and Prof J S Kuang (advisor).
