Bridge to China Work Commended

The HKUST Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) team completed two projects this year, one in Machi Village in Chongqing, the other in Macha Village in Gansu, and are delighted to be given three awards by the Wu Zhi Qiao Charitable Foundation. The Bailey bridge in Machi Village, which we constructed in collaboration with teams from Chongqing Jiaotong and Tongji Universities, has won the “Best Bridge Project” and “Best Community Project” awards. Our endeavors have also been recognized with the “Outstanding Performance (Hong Kong Team)” award.

The HKUST Wu Zhi Qiao team has recently taken up a project in Xiejia Village in Guizhou province in cooperation with Chongqing Jiaotong University, and will go on a surveying trip soon. Stay tuned for more details from the HKUST Wu Zhi Qiao team.
