Bridge to China Team Honoured for Exemplary Work

We are ecstatic and proud to announce that the HKUST Wu Zhi Qiao team has been awarded both “Best Community Project 2014/15” and “Best Wu Zhi Qiao Project 2014/15” for their work in Dawazhe village in Yuanyang county, Yunnan. The team also received “Outstanding Performance Gold Award (Hong Kong Team) 2014/15” for their superb effort throughout the year.

Seven core members of the HKUST team attended the Wu Zhi Qiao Interflow Camp 2015 – “Serve to Learn” between September 30 and October 4. The aim of the camp was to strengthen ties within the Wu Zhi Qiao community, bridging teams from Hong Kong, China and beyond. The awards were given during a ceremony that concluded the camp. HKUST shared the “Best Project” honours with teams from Chongqing Jiaotong University, Minzu University of China, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Kunming University of Science and Technology.

Looking forward, the HKUST Wu Zhi Qiao team now prepares for an exciting new project in Pengshui county, Chongqing, and is currently recruiting new core members.
