1st Issue of CIVL Newsletter (April 2010)

Dear Alumni, Students, Colleagues and Friends, 



It is my pleasure to bring to you the very first issue of newsletter from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at HKUST. We proudly name it CIVL@UST.HK. Initially, we plan to publish the newsletter twice a year (April and October) and may increase its frequency as time progresses. 



We are hoping to use this as a communication channel among our alumni, students, staff members and friends. In this newsletter, you can find: 

- the current status of the department 

- profiles of new faculty members 

- 973: an exciting and interesting project conducted by one of our faculty members 

- profiles of UG and PG alumni 

- formation of HKUST CEE PGSA 

- news and upcoming events 



In every issue, we would like to portray one UG and one PG alumna/alumnus who have made significant advancement in their career. So please let us know or recommend your fellow classmates (or yourself) to us. Also, if you would like to share your happiness with us and your fellow classmates, please send a photo of your wedding, new baby, or achievement to us. We will be more than happy to incorporate them in the future issues.
